Overview:
Stylish pair of vintage Wordley, Allsopp & Bliss moonstone earrings crafted in 14k yellow (circa 1940s).
16 cabochon cut moonstones range in size from 6mm x 4mm and 7mm x 5mm. Six cornflower bllue sapphires total an estimated 0.12 carats. The moonstones are in very good condition and free of cracks or chips.
Crafted in the forms of leaves, the beautifully made earrings are made by the famed Newark, New Jersey manufacturer Wordley, Allsopp & Bliss (1907 to 1956). The firm was known for finely crafted jewelry (and cufflinks) along with supplying jewelry to Tiffany & Co. The leaf design is set with beautiful luminous rainbow blue hued moonstones with blue sapphires to the center. The earrings are great for day or evening wear & fitted with screw backings for pierced or non-pierced ears.
The earrings are in very good condition. We have not cleaned them in order to preserve the patina and collector value.
