Stylish vintage opal cocktail ring (circa 1970) crafted in 14 karat yellow gold.
Cabochon cut opal measures 16mm x 11.5mm (estimated at 9.25 carats). The opal is in excellent condition and free of cracks or chips.
The natural Ethiopian opal is cut in a high dome. The color matrix is vibrant with flashes of red, green, orange, yellow, turquoise and blue. In natural sunshine the opal really lights up with a kaleidoscope of colors mentioned above. The medium rise ring (8.5mm - 0.33 inches) sits comfortably on the finger. The colorful ring is impactful in design and ideal worn day or night.
