Overview:
Finely detailed antique Victorian forget-me-not ring set with old mine cut diamonds (circa 1880s to 1900s), crafted in 18 karat yellow gold and 900 platinum.
The old mine cut diamonds graduate in size from the center (estimated at 0.10 carats) to the six outer diamonds estimated at 0.05 carats each. The total diamond weight is estimated at 0.40 carats (estimated at I-J color and VS2-SI2 clarity).
The diamonds are each set in a secure 900 platinum pronged mount. The simple and elegant design highlights the sparking old cut diamonds set in the forget-me-not flower design. The forget-me-not design was popular during the Victorian era and often gifted by a gentleman wishing to 'court' and show his intentions to his love. The ring is great worn on its own as a cocktail ring, as an engagement ring or promise ring.
The ring was sourced on our recent buying trip to Wales.
The ring is in excellent condition.
