Overview:
Dramatic large vintage statement cocktail ring (circa 1940s to 1950s), crafted in 14 karat yellow gold.
Centrally mounted emerald cut citrine measures 21mm x 14mm (estimated at 25 carats), accented with 12 approx. 0.05 carat emerald cut rubies. The total ruby weight is estimated at 0.60 carats. The citrine is in excellent condition and free of cracks or chips. Note: slight chip to 2 rubies (visible under a 10x loupe).
Bold and elegant, the ring makes a great statement on the finger. The rubies make a surprising color contrast to the citrine in scrolled pillar style shoulders. The citrine is securely set into the four pronged mount in a high rising (11.6mm) gallery setting. The mid century (retro) era was defined by jewelry that was large, colorful and impactful.
The ring is in very good condition and was recently professionally cleaned and polished.
