Stylish vintage boulder opal cocktail ring (circa 1980s to 1990s) crafted in 18 karat yellow gold.

Boulder opal is inlaid flush into the mount measuring 17mm x 12.5mm. The opal is in excellent condition and free of cracks or chips.

The opal exhibits a strong play of green and blue colors with bit of purple. Ironstone is also present throughout the stone. The statement ring adds a nice pop of color on the hand. The low rise ring (10mm - 0.15 inches) sits comfortably on the finger. The ring was likely an artisan made piece with a slightly off center square design and wide square style band (11mm 0.43 inches).

The ring is in very good condition.
