Finely detailed antique Victorian (circa 1880s to 1900s) snake bracelet, crafted in 18k yellow gold.
Six seed pearls graduate in size from 1mm to 2mm. Two estimated 0.03 carat garnet adorn the snake eyes.
The snake features lifelike scale detail to the bracelet, terminating to the snake head - enameled in blue and set with natural seed pearls and garnet eyes. The lithe snake bears a gift - a heart shaped charm with a back compartment. The compartment once likely held a locket of hair or a keepsake. It is no longer in use and has been sealed. For centuries the snake has represented faithfulness and eternal love.
The bracelet is short at 6 inches and we encourage you to measure your wrist prior to purchase.
The bracelet is in good original condition.
