Antique Victorian Crescent Moon Necklace Opal Diamond 14k Yellow Gold Jewelry

$3,485.00

Overview:

Sweet antique Victorian era necklace (circa 1880s to 1900s), crafted in 10k & 14 karat yellow gold (chain).

Cabochon cut opals measure from 5.5mm x 4mm to 3mm x 2.5mm. One estimated 0.20 carat old mine cut diamond to the base of the mount (estimated at I-J color and SI1-I1 clarity).

Set into a classic crescent moon motif, the opals glow with flashes of green to turquoise, yellow, orange and purple. An old mine cut diamond to the base of the moon shimmers with your every movement. The crescent moon motif holds a mystical and enduring charm with a timeless connection to the cosmic world. We acquired the necklace in its current form though it was likely a brooch originally with a chain added later to wear as a necklace.

The necklace is in good condition. We have not cleaned it in order to preserve the patina and collector value.
