Stylish amethyst & diamond ring crafted in 18 karat yellow gold (circa 1980s).
Diamonds total an estimated 0.40 carats (estimated at H-I color VS2-SI2 clarity). The center set oval faceted amethyst measures 8mm x 6mm. Cilibre cut (cabochon) amethysts accent the mount. Note: slight chip to one of the calibre cut stones (visible under a 10x loupe).
Set with rich royal purple amethysts the setting highlights beautiful calibre cut (cabochon) amethysts with accenting diamonds. The 'swirl' effect highlights a continual design flow and center set amethyst. The low dome ring (7mm - 0.27 inches) is a standout on its own or stacked, sitting comfortably on the finger.
The ring is in good condition and was lightly cleaned and polished.
