Overview:
Stylish vintage sugarloaf amethyst & diamond ring (circa 1970s) crafted in 14 karat yellow gold.
Cabochon amethyst measures 18.5mm x 11mm, accented with an estimated 0.25 carats of diamonds (estimated at G-H color and VS2-SI1 clarity). The amethyst is in very good condition and free of cracks or chips.
The beautiful rich royal purple sugarloaf amethyst rises in a high dome. Set in an east-west mount the ring makes a great statement on the hand. The decorative side shoulders feature an organic like design in keeping with the 70s design theme popular at that time. The cocktail ring makes a great statement on the hand. The high rise ring (17mm - 0.66 inches) sits comfortably on the finger.
The ring is in very good condition. We have not cleaned it in order to preserve the patina and collector value.
