Overview:
Stylish vintage mid century mixed cut diamond band crafted in 900 platinum (circa 1950s to 1960s).
Marquise, round and baguette cut diamonds total an estimated 4 carats (estimated at I-J color and VS2-I1 clarity).
A spectacular vintage multi-row diamond statement ring combining marquise, baguette and round brilliant-cut diamonds in an exuberant, dimensional composition.
At the center, marquise-cut diamonds are arranged into an asymmetric floral formation, their elongated silhouettes creating movement across the finger. A row of vertically arranged baguette diamonds forms a crisp geometric counterpoint, while rows of round brilliant-cut diamonds add additional brilliance above and below. The baguette diamonds extend around the entire band (and not sizable due to the design). The band is currently fitted with two stabilizers that can be removed to make the band bigger (and likely fit a finger up to a size 8 1/2). The combination of mixed diamond cuts is particularly effective: the baguettes provide flashes of linear, mirror-like light while the marquise and round diamonds deliver lively scintillation. The band has a lower rise of 5mm (0.19 inches) and sits comfortably on the finger.
The ring is in very good condition and was recently lightly cleaned and polished.
