Stylish natural Ceylon (no heat) sapphire ring crafted in 18k yellow gold (circa 1980s).
Natural sapphire measuring approx. 10.0 x 7.0 x 4.8mm (approx. 2.90ct). The sapphire is in good condition with a few tiny nicks to the surface commensurate with wear (visible under a 10x loupe). The sapphire is light blue color, moderately included, Sri Lanka origin, no treatments.
The beautiful natural Ceylon sapphire is set into an east to west orientation in buttery 18k yellow gold. The thick band measures 9mm wide and has a solid feel on the finger. Great worn alone as a statement ring or stacked. The ring weighs a hefty 13.1 grams. The medium rise ring (5.5mm - 0.21 inches) sits comfortably on the hand.
Also included is a certificate from Guild Laboratories - Sapphire Identification Report - certifies the gemstone as a natural no heat Ceylon sapphire.
The ring is in very good condition and was lightly cleaned and polished.
