Stylish natural opal & diamond ring (circa 1980s) crafted in 18k white gold.
Natural opal measures 10mm x 7mm. 28 diamonds total an estimated 0.14 carats (estimated at I-J color and VS2-SI2 clarity). Note: light internal crazing to the opal (visible under a 10x loupe).
The natural opal is cut in an oval shape, set into a luminous peacock hued enamel mount. The result is a vibrant and bright ring that makes for a dramatic look on the hand. The opal exhibits strong flashes of green, yellow, turquoise, blue, and purple, all lighting up in natural sunlight. The low rise ring (7.5mm - 0.29 inches) sits comfortably on the finger.
The ring is in very good condition and was lightly cleaned and polished.
