Antique Edwardian Compass Fob 9k Rose Gold Pendant Animal Motif Vintage Jewelry

$1,785.00

Overview:

Finely detailed antique Edwardian compass fob crafted in 9k rose gold (circa 1900s to 1910s).

Originally the compass would have been worn alongside a pocket watch. This one is quite unusual with an animal motif to the top of the fob (we are not sure of the exact animal). Given the animal motif and the use of the compass as a way to find your way home, a hunter or animal enthusiast would likely have made good use of the fob. The fob is great worn alone as a statement piece or worn as a charm on a necklace or bracelet.

The fob is in good condition with wear evident to both sides of the clear face housing the compass (light surface abrasions visible) and a few dings to the gold. We have not cleaned it in order to preserve the patina and collector value.
