Overview:

Distinct enameled owl ring set with ruby eye crafted in 18 karat yellow gold (circa 1960s to 1970s).

One estimated 0.10 carat ruby is set into the eye. The ruby is in very good condition and free of cracks or chips.

The beautifully detailed 'winking' owl features iridescent green & blue enamel with a ruby set eye. Weighing 17.7 grams the ring has a weighty feel on the finger. The owl sits on the finger in a north to south position with feather detail to the side shoulders. An unusual owl ring and one of the best we have come across. Owls are a symbol of wisdom and endurance. The medium rise ring (15mm - 0.59 inches) sits comfortably on the finger.

The ring is in very good condition. We have not cleaned it in order to preserve the patina and collector value.
