Overview:
Finely detailed antique Victorian era fire opal & diamond ring (circa 1880s to 1900s) crafted in 14k yellow gold.
Opal cabochon measures 7mm, accented with 16 old rose cut diamonds totaling an estimated 0.24 carats (estimated at SI2-I2 clarity). The opal shows light wear (surface abrasions visible under a 10x loupe).
The colorful natural fire opal is securely set in the mount, bordered with a halo of sparkling old rose cut diamonds. The opal shows a glowing orange base with flashes of green and yellow. The low rise ring (7mm - 0.27 inches) sits nicely on the finger. Ideal worn on the pinky finger or as a right hand ring for everyday wear.
The ring is in good condition. We have not cleaned it in order to preserve the patina and collector value.
