Carved Natural Opal Pendant Portrait of a Woman Diamond 14k White Gold Estate

Overview:

Finely detailed vintage carved opal & diamond pendant crafted in 14k white gold (circa 1960s to 1970s).

Carved opal measures 42mm x 28mm. Diamonds total an estimated 0.16 carats (estimated at I-J color and SI2-I1 clarity). The opal is in very good condition and free of cracks or chips.

The beautifully hand carved natural opal features the side profile of a woman, with a diamond set headdress. The opal exhibits a soft palette of pastel colors from blue to green, yellow, purple and orange. The back of the pendant is framed with an elaborate 14k white gold mount with a 4mm bale. The piece was most likely custom made in its day.

The pendant is in very good condition. We have not cleaned it in order to preserve the patina and collector value.
