Overview:
Distinct antique Victorian Etruscan Revival pendant (circa 1860s to 1880s) crafted in 14 karat yellow gold.
Small approx. 1.5mm to 2mm rubies and an emerald adorn the mount. Small 1mm to 1.5mm seed pearls frame the mount.
The beautifully detailed handmade pendant highlights a cluster of gemstones - rubies, emeralds and seed pearls - set into the raised cross mount. Decorative turquoise blue enamel in a Greek Key pattern and classical motifs frame the mount, adding a beautiful contrast of color to the colorful gemstones. The back of the pendant opens to accommodate a photo or keepsake. The pendant is a wonderful and unique example of jewelry from the late Victorian era. The collapsible bale measures 4mm and can accommodate a think to medium thick chain if desired.
The pendant is in good condition with loss to the top right scrolled detailing (see photo). We have not cleaned the piece in order to preserve the patina and collector value.
