Stylish vintage Cartier onyx choker necklace finished with a sterling silver and 18 karat yellow gold Mabe pearl set clasp (circa 1970s).
One 18.5mm Mabe pearl is set into the clasp. The pearl exhibits a glossy luster with rose & green overtones. The onyx beads are uniform is size and measure 6mm each. The onyx beads are individually knotted for added security.
Designed in the Art Deco style, the necklace highlights the structural clean lines and bold look of the era. The 1970s era necklace is a Cartier classic, great worn during the day and it can easily transition to a bold evening look. The 5 strand necklace measures 14 inches in length and is designed as a choker necklace. The necklace is shorter in length - please check your measurements prior to purchase.
The necklace is in good condition with patina evident to the clasp. We have not cleaned the necklace in order to preserve the patina and collector value. It can be buffed and polished if desired.
