Finely detailed vintage Art Deco diamond & sapphire sheild ring (circa 1920s to 1930s) crafted in 900 platinum.
Old marquise cut diamond is estimated at 0.25 carats (estimated at K-L color and VS2 clarity), accented with a further 10 old European cut diamonds (estimated at I-J color and VS2-SI2 clarity). The total diamond weight is estimated at 0.55 carats (estimated at I-J color and VS1-I1 clarity). Two sapphires (lab) adorn the mount (note: chip to one sapphire - visible under a 10x loupe).
The shield ring highlights a glittering marquise cut diamond to the center, framed with sapphires. The ring would make a lovely vintage alternative engagement or right hand ring for everyday wear. The ring has a lower domed profile and rises 4.5mm from the finger (0.17 inches).
