Overview:

Finely detailed antique Art Nouveau locket (circa 1900s to 1910s), crafted in 14 karat yellow gold.

Old mine cut diamonds total an estimated 0.06 carats, accented with an estimated 0.01 carat emerald & 0.01 carat ruby. A natural seed pearl measures 2mm.

The beautifully detailed octagonal locket highlights the profile of a woman with an enameled face and jeweled headdress. A wonderful example of Art Nouveau era jewelry with an exceptional focus on detail. The locket is bordered with a hand engraved floral pattern in keeping with the romantic & ethereal design of the piece. We have since added a bale extension to the locket for easier wear as a pendant (the bale is a modern addition). The locket opens to accommodate a photo or keepsake. The back of the locket is engraved (from what we can decipher) "MLC"

The locket is in good condition with some light wear evident (few lights dings to the back of the locket). It has not been cleaned in order to preserve the patina and collector value.
