Finely detailed antique Victorian (circa 1880s to 1900s) seed pearl conversion earrings, crafted in 14 karat yellow gold.
1/2mm to 1mm seed pearls are set into the earrings. The seed pearls are well matching and original to the earrings.
Originally a pair Victorian lingerie pins, now converted to a pair of earrings. Our jeweler added post backings and butterfly backings for a secure fit on the ear lobe. Lingerie pins were popular back in the Victorian era to keep various layers of lingerie or lace in place. We have reimagined the pins into a striking pair of earrings. The pink enameled spiked oval design has a surprisingly fresh feel today.
The earrings are in very good condition. Note: slight loss to the enamel on one earring (visible under a 10x loupe).
