Lovely small antique Victorian signet ring (circa 1880s to 1900s), crafted in 10 karat yellow gold.
The center oval is inscribed with the initials (from what we can decipher) "TVM"
The side shoulders feature a pretty pierced and scrolled design that terminates to the oval mount. The saddle of the ring is low and allows the ring to sit flat on the finger. The ring is small in size and scale, suitable for a child to wear or a small ring for an adult pinky finger.
The ring is in good condition with patina evident. We tend not to clean our antique pieces as our clients generally prefer to preserve the patina and collector value.
Weight: 2 grams
Size & Measurements: The ring is a size 3 1/4 (sizable). The mount measures 9mm in length (0.35 inches) and 6mm wide (0.23 inches), rising 1.5mm from the finger.
Metal & Hallmark: 10 karat yellow gold. The ring is hallmarked "10k" and the JR Wood trademark “W”.
