Antique Victorian Moonstone Diamond Band 18k Gold Vintage Ring Sz 6.25 English

$2,975.00

Overview:

gold.

Five moonstones are set into the band, ranging in size from 4mm to 5mm. A total of 8 estimated 0.01 carat rose cut diamonds accent the moonstones and total an estimated 0.08 carats (estimated at I-J color and I1-2 clarity). The moonstones are in very good condition and free of cracks or chips. We do see some light surface abrasions under a 10x loupe.

The moonstones glow in a beautiful blue sheen with every movement of the ring. A rare find, we haven't seen a Victorian band quite like this one set with moonstones. The moonstones appear to be illuminated from within showing flashes of white to beautiful blues. Rose cut diamonds accent the moonstones offering a light twinkle. The moonstones and diamonds are set in a raised scrolled gallery mount.

The ring is in very good condition with minimal wear evident. We have not cleaned the ring in order to preserve the patina and collector value. The ring features English hallmarks (see below).
