Victorian jewelry was crafted with many meanings & symbolism in mind. Here we have two snakes intertwined and embracing representing the connection & joining of two souls together. The body of the two snakes coil around the large amethyst with lifelike scale detail (the same scale detail is evident to the back of the pendant). A great statement piece to wear alone or layered with your fine jewelry from any era. The double snake motif is more often found in Victorian rings. This is a nice find as a pendant.
The pendant is in very good original condition.
