Overview:
Distinct & unusual vintage citrine cocktail ring (circa 1940s to 1950s), crafted in 14 karat yellow gold.
Large emerald cut citrine measures 23mm x 17mm (estimated at 40 carats), accented with 18 estimated 0.02 carat single cut diamonds. The total diamond weight is estimated at 0.36 carats (estimated at G-H color and VS2 clarity). The citrine is in excellent condition and free of cracks or chips.
Certainly one of the most unique rings we have come across in a long time! The mount is crafted in the form of an elephants head with the trunk extending around the entire band. The ears are set with diamonds and melds directly into the setting. The off-center citrine allow the elephants head to be exposed when worn. The ring was most likely a custom designed piece in its day. A great collector piece that is impactful in design and ideal worn day or night.
The ring is in excellent condition.
