Overview:

Elaborate and finely detailed cocktail ring depicting Guanyin (circa 1960s) crafted in 14 karat yellow gold.

Coral is carved in the form of Guanyin measuring 35mm x 20mm. Ten rubies are estimated at 0.05 carats each (0.50 carats total estimated weight). Nine emeralds are estimated at 0.05 carats each (0.45 carats total estimated weight). One pear cut sapphire is estimated at 0.20 carats. The coral and gemstones are in excellent condition and free of cracks or chips.

In Chinese mythology, Guanyin is the goddess of mercy and considered to be the physical embodiment of compassion. One of the most popular deities in the pantheons of Buddhism, Taoism and Chinese Folk religion has many varied stories as she is celebrated. The elaborately designed ring highlights a finely carved piece of natural coral with gemstones set to the base. The large ring certainly makes a statement on the hand. The medium rise ring (12mm - 0.47 inches) sits comfortably on the finger.

The ring is in very good condition. We have not cleaned it in order to preserve the patina and collector value.
