Overview:

Stylish and finely detailed Bailey Banks & Biddle amethyst ring crafted in 14 karat yellow gold (circa 1943).

Amethyst measures 11mm x 8.5mm. Note: light surface abrasions to the amethyst (visible under a 10x loupe).

The square cut amethyst is perched upon an embossed floral mount. Bailey Banks and Biddle was founded in Philadelphia in 1832 and is one of the oldest jewelers in the United States, known for exquisite craftsmanship. The inner band is engraved with the initials "FEP 1943". The low rise ring (6mm - 0.23 inches) sits comfortably on the finger. 

The ring is in good condition. We have not cleaned the ring in order to preserve the patina and collector value.
