Finely detailed large Scorpion medallion pendant crafted in 14k yellow gold (circa 1970s).

The large medallion pendant measures 50mm diameter (1.96 inches) and features a raised scorpion design. The elaborate and bold design is a great example of 70s era zodiac jewelry. Weighing 31.3 grams (a whisker over 1 ounce of gold) the pendant has a heavy weight feel to the touch. Fitted with a pin to the back of the piece, it can also be worn as a brooch. The bale measures 6mm wide and can accommodate a thick chain if desired. The piece is great worn alone as a statement piece of layered with your fine jewelry from any era.

The pendant is in very good condition. We have not cleaned it in order to preserve the patina and collector value.
