Antique Victorian Cherub Cupid Bracelet Enamel 14k Yellow Gold 6.5" Fine Jewelry

$6,975.00

Overview:

Distinct and finely detailed antique Victorian cherub bracelet (circa 1850s to 1860s) crafted in 14k yellow gold.

The hand painted scene depicts heavenly winged cherubs in a playful colorful display. Black taille d'epargne enamel frames the portrait. The bracelet is a great example of the incredible detail, whimsy and romanticism of Victorian era jewelry. The bracelet was well loved over the years with wear issues throughout. The base of the bracelet shows indentations to the gold and the cherub portrait shows chipping and a previous repair to the painting. The bracelet hinges smoothly and snaps shut for a secure fit on the wrist. The gold has a supple feel to the touch, a piece that was no doubt very well-loved over the years. A feast for the eyes!
The bracelet is in fair to good condition with wear issues described above. We have not cleaned it in order to preserve the patina and collector value.
