Antique Victorian Opal Ring 9k Rose Gold Sz 11 Oval Vintage Fine Jewelry

Overview:

Stylish antique Victorian opal ring (circa 1880s to 1900s) crafted in 9 karat rose gold.

Cabochon cut opal measures 10mm x 6mm (estimated at 1.25 carats). Note: the opal shows light surface abrasions visible under a 10x loupe.

The opal is bezel set into the oval mount. Larger in size (11) the ring was likely a men's ring, though it can be resized for wear on a woman's hand. The opal shows a nice blue, green and purple play of color. The low rise ring (5.5mm - 0.21 inches) sits comfortably on the finger. The ring features English hallmarks for 9k gold (9 375). The inner band is engraved "M.O.D.S"

The ring is in good condition with light wear evident. We have not cleaned it in order to preserve the patina and collector value.
